Prog n Roll's special show, including the presentation of the Rock Opera Giordano Bruno by OAK is now available on our Mixcloud page.

Hello all!
Near the end of Prog n Roll's previous season, we did a very special show, which was including an extended presentation of the excellent Rock Opera Giordano Bruno by the Italian project OAK. The playlist was including many songs taken from the Rock Opera, but also other songs from modern and older Prog bands and artists.
We had the honour to have on our chatbox many musicians, including Jerry Cutillo, the mastermind behind OAK, Gertrude Roth (his manager), Sonja Kristina of Curved Air, Ben Bell of Gandalf's Fist and David Jackson of Van Der Graaf Generator. We had a very big crowd that night, so please forgive me if I forget some names.
During the show, we provided our listeners lots of information about the life and the work of Giordano Bruno, we had a music quiz, we played parts of the interview we conducted with Jerry
Because some people missed it and/or because some others might want to listen to it again, I decided to upload the whole show on Prog n Roll's page on Mixcloud.
Cutillo and in general we had a blast! Everybody had a great time, including us.
Further than this Rock Opera, you will find many more special shows on our Mixcloud page, so take a look if you like.
Here's the link: https://www.mixcloud.com/ProgandRoll/

Prog & Roll's Top-10 song list is uploaded as a podcast (radio season 2016-2017)

Hello all!
After a long Summer break, it is almost time for the new radio season to kick in. But before that,
I thought of sharing with you the show that was including the Top-10 song list of the previous season. The really interesting thing is that, the list was built month after month, by our listeners and not by us.
As some of you know already, during the last season we were playing the "Grade the Song" game with our audience, and at the end of each month, we were having the "Song of the Month" contest. There, we were playing the 3-4 songs that gathered the highest average rating during the month, and our listeners were grading them once more, but in a more serious manner so to say. And finally, the song with the highest average rating was announced as The Song of the Month.
Now, knowing that Prog & Roll was on air for 10 months, you can understand where this Top-10 list came from. (1 song for each month X 10 months).
So, at the end of July, we had the final show of the season, where we presented the Top-10 list to our listeners. They did deserve it after all!
And now, a few days before Prog & Roll's new season, I decided to upload on our page on Mixcloud that show, for you to listen and enjoy!
Have in mind that I uploaded the 3 (out of 4) parts of the show, which are the ones where we presented the Top-10 list.
Also, you should know that the broadcast is in English and Greek.
If you visit our page on Mixcloud you can listen to some other shows that are uploaded there as well, if you are interested of course.
Just click on this link: https://www.mixcloud.com/ProgandRoll/prog-rolls-top-10-song-list-for-the-radio-season-2016-2017/
I hope you will like it!

Prog & Roll's Special tribute show to Clive Nolan's opera's (including an interview as well) now on Mixcloud!

Hey all!
A couple of weeks ago, we did a special tribute to Clive Nolan's operas and musicals in Prog & Roll Radio Show. The tribute lasted for almost an hour, during which, we played the most interesting parts of the interview I conducted with him, mixed with songs from his operas. We concluded the tribute with a song from his new - and yet unreleased - musical King's Ransom, that we played in a worldwide premiere!
We had lots of people who were listening to our show that night, and on our chatbox we had a whole group of musicians, including Clive Nolan himself, Colin Tench, Benjamin Bell, Andy Sears (who plays the role of Lord Jagman in Alchemy) Gemma Ashley (who is singing in King's Ransom) and Clive's PR Manager Magda Grabias.
I have to admit that I was kind of nervous that night, but I think the show went fine. Everybody enjoyed the pieces of the interview we played, and also the songs from Clive's operas and musicals.
And since today, this tribute is uploaded on Mixcloud, for you to enjoy as well!
I'm sure that many people who missed that show would be interested in listening to it out of curiosity maybe, and some others maybe would be interested in listening to it again.
So, do not loose time!
Click on the following link: https://www.mixcloud.com/ProgandRoll/prog-rolls-special-tribute-to-clive-nolas-operas-also-incl-an-interview-with-him-3042017/
In case you like it, just spread the word around, please.
You can also subscribe to our Mixcloud page, and get informed about the shows I will be uploading there. It is very easy.
Enjoy!
Thank you! 😉

Hello all!
I’m writing this post in order to inform you that since today, the presentation we did  on the album The Clockwork Fable a couple of days ago in Prog & Roll, is available as a podcast. I decided to do that, because some people missed the show (or a part of it) and they wanted to listen to it. In the other hand, there were some people who are interested to download the show and keep it in their archive. As for myself, I really believe that it was a very nice and interesting show. For all those reasons, I decided to upload it as a podcast.
So, in this podcast you will be able to listen to the whole Prog & Roll radio show we did on Sunday the 12th of June, including some parts of the interview we took from Stefan Hepe, the drummer of Gandalf’s Fist.  Further than that, you will listen to the whole playlist of that show, which was including 4 songs taken from the new excellent album of Gandalf’s Fist, The Clockwork Fable.
In case you are interested to listen and/or download the podcast, just click on the following link: http://chirb.it/prbzK5
