Good morning everybody! :)
Last night we had one more Radio show, and this time we had something special planned.
On the second hour of our show, we made a presentation to a rather unknown Rock Opera:
'Into the Electric Castle" from the group Ayreon. It is a record that was released in 1998, and it contains many many guests. Among them are: Fish (Marillion's former singer), Anekke (from 'The Gathering'), Thjis Van Leer (former member of 'Focus') members from 'Within Temptation' and 'Anathema' etc..
We faced several microphone problems, that made us very stressed & confused, but we made the show anyway, and I'm hoping that the people that were listening had some good time and enjoyed it.
And here is the playlist:
SHADOW
GALLERY: I believe / ANATHEMA: Deep / MARILLION: Market Square Heroes / ROXY
MUSIC: Out of the Blue / GENESIS: The Lamb Lies down on Broadway / AMAGRAMA: Recluso Artista /
ILUVATAR: Your Darkest Hour / PORCUPINE TREE: Hatesong / TRIUMPH: Lay it on the
Line / RUSH: Limelight
AYREON ('Into the Electric Castle' presentation): Intro & Isis & Osiris / Time Beyond Time /
Across the Rainbow Bridge / Valley of the Queens / The Castle Hall / Cosmic
Fusion / The Mirror Maze / Another Time another Space.
I want to thank all those who were there to listen to our show, and they tried to help us overcome the problems we were facing.
Thank you all! :)

Prog & Roll's special Radio Show...
Hello everybody!
I'm writing this post in order to inform you that on next Sunday 18/11, we will have a special program on the internet radio that is hosting our show.
On the second hour of our program, we will make a presentation of a rather unknown Rock Opera.
It's a very good one, and it contains 11 singers and 12 musicians, and many of them are rather known and kind of famous in Rock music.
I don't want to say more info on that, because I want to keep as a surprise the name of this opera until Sunday night.
So, if you are in the mood for some good Rock music, next Sunday between 20.00 - 22.00 GMT. (22.00 - 00.00 Greek time). You can find us here: http://www.justincaseradio.com/
Thank you in advance! :)

Tales from the Progressive Oceans Part. 10
ELOY : Power and the Passion
This is Eloy's fourth album, released in 1975, and it was the band's first effort to make a concept album. At first they were thinking of making this album a double one, but after their manager insisted against that idea, they abandoned it. (I think their manager was right here).
The main theme of the album is the travels through time, but in a very naive and 'hippie' approach in my oppinion.
The main character is Jamie, (Frank Borneman) who is trying to achieve a travel through time by experimenting on drugs. (!)
The album's first track is 'Introduction', which is actually a prelude played on organ, and is followed by the song Journey into 1358. Here we meet Jamie for the first time, and he explains what he is trying to achieve, and how. It is a short 'spacy' track, that prepares the listener for the -10 minute long- Love over six Centuries.
Here we see that after so many experiments he finally succeeds to travel in time. Great Stuff! hehehehe
In this song we see Jamie traveling back in the year 1358, where he meets a local medieval girl (Mary - Davis Smith) (Not a member of the band), and he persuades her to try marijuana.
Then we have a dialog between them expressing their feelings and emotions after having smoked the weed.
(As I wrote before, it is a very 'hippie' approach!).
Anyway, many things are happening in the story, but I'm not here to analyze it. I'm just making a presentation of the record.
And this record is the first really 'epic' record from Eloy. The first in a line of 3 excellent records actually. 'Power & the Passion', 'Dawn' and 'Ocean', are Eloy's masterpieces in my opinion.
If you want to start exploring Eloy's music, this record is the best way to start. And then continue with the other 2 of course.
I strongly recommend this album, not only to the Progressive Rock fans, but to the fans of Rock music in general.
In the following video you can listen to the song 'Mutiny' from this album...

THIN LIZZY live in Greece...

One in Athens at the Gagarin Club, and one in Thessaloniki at The Principal Club Theater.
First question that comes to mind when we hear the name Thin Lizzy' is: Whaaattt??
Which Thin lizzy? Without their Leader/Singer/Composer/ Bass player? Lets don't forget that Phil Lynott is dead for almost 2 decades now.
But anyway, this version of Thin Lizzy is a band that contains some members that were a part of Thin Lizzy once, plus 1-2 extra musicians.
Now, about the live performances...
The band played for almost 90 minutes, the setlist was very good, filled with almost all their big hits, + a few surprises. And I'm writing 'almost', because there was one very very big song missing: Johny the Fox! (Also Johnny in my opinion)...

But as they announced this would be the last time they are touring using this name.
After this tour, they will get to the studio to record a new album, but with a different name.
So, this version of Thin Lizzy will soon be history anyway...
But the main and most important thing in my opinion is that they gave a very good show, they played the songs very well, and the people that went to see them enjoyed a surprisingly good concert!
And here is the playlist from these 2 concerts:
Are You Ready
Jailbreak
Don't Believe Me
Killer On The Loose
Emerald
Dancing In the Moonlight
Warriors
Angel Of Death
Still In Love With You
Whisky In The Jar
Sha La La
Suicide
Waiting For An Alibi
Cowboy Song
The Boys Are Back In Town

PROG & ROLL Radio Show. Last Night's Playlist.
Good morning all!
Last night we had one more Radio Show, as many of you know already.
It was nice fun, and I think all the people who logged in had some nice time.

PROG & ROLL RADIO SHOW: The Playlists...
Hello!
As many of you know already, me and my wife are doing a radio show called "Prog & Roll", on a radio station on the internet . We did 6 shows so far, and on next Sunday we will do the 7th.
The music we play is mostly Rock, but with a Progressive Orientation. And with the term Progressive, don't think the hard-core bands only. Progressive is not a music style, is a general music orientation let's say...
Slowly slowly our company becomes bigger, and more people are joining us on Sunday nights.
I'm veryy happy to say that both us and our audience, are enjoying this 2- hours, and always wait with anticipation for the next one!
Here I will put the playlists from these 6 shows, so you can have an idea and judge by yourself.
