GFreedom's Juke Box No.140

As I'm doing on (almost) every Saturday, here I am once more in order to write down my weekly Top-5 songlist for you.
I had an extremely busy week once again, but despite that, I found some time to listen and enjoy music.
So, from all the songs I listened during the week, I picked the following 5 as my best ones:
MARILLION: Easter (Season's End - 1989)
ROY BUCHANAN: After Hours (Second Album - 1973)
LED ZEPPELIN: No Quarter (Houses of the Holy - 1973)
CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX: Hold on (No Sadness or Farewell - 2012)
PINK FLOYD: Echoes (Meddle - 1971)
By clicking on the following links, you will be able to listen to the songs in my list right away.
Enjoy the music, and have a very nice and relaxing weekend!
Thank you :-)

TV Series: Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Seasons 1 & 2)

This is a series I watched recently, and I thought of writing down my opinion for you.
It is a comedy series, about the everyday life in Brooklyn's 99 precinct. The main characters are 2 in my opinion: Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), an almost cartoon-ish talented and carefree Detective, and Ray Holt (Andre Braugher), the very serious Captain who just took over the 99th  precinct.
There are many more characters included of course, but these 2 are the "heart" of the series.
The first season consists of 22 episodes, and the second one of 23, and each episode is almost 20 minutes long.
I found the first season funny enough, and I watched it rather fast. But the second one was not so good, and I think it was kind of a boring one. In both seasons are included some really good episodes, of course, and from time to time it's lots of fun watching them. Some others are less inspired and kind of boring though, but I guess that is something normal.
The 3rd season has already started, but I can't say that I'm so impatient to see it. Maybe I will, maybe not. Depends of what other series I'll have available.
Concluding this, I would like to say that 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' is a fun and easy to watch series, but don't expect something really great.
That's why, my rating will be: Season 1: 7.50 / Season 2: 6.5 - 7.0
On IMDB the rating for both seasons is: 8.3

PROG & ROLL Radio Show (11/10/2015). A "review" and the full playlist...

Hello all!
Last night one more Prog & Roll radio show was online as usual.
First of all I should say that in my opinion, it was a really great show, and I believe everybody enjoyed it to the maximum. We had many people in the chatbox, and many more who were just listening. The chatbox was on fire, and from time to time we had lots of fun.
As for the music we played, what we did was that we divided the 2 - hour show into 4 half - hour parts, and on each part we played different styles of music. In the first part, we played songs from the German music scene of the '70's, on the 2nd one we made a tribute to the musicians who collaborated with Richie Blackmore and their personal careers, on the 3rd one we had some melodic Prog Folk songs, and for the finale we kept some powerful Metal songs.
Here you can take a look at the whole playlist:
Part 1: BIRTH CONTROL: Gamma Ray / ELOY: Future City / ANYONE’S DAUGHTER: Swedish Nights / TRIUMVIRAT: The School of Instant Pain.
Part 2: DEEP PURPLE: Demon’s Eye / PAICE, ASHTON & LORD: Ghost Story / GILLAN: Living for the City / WHITESNAKE: Walking in the Shadow of the Blues – Live / RAINBOW: Kill the King.
Part 3: ASTIDIR: Things You Said / THE DECEMBERISTS: The Hazards of Love / MOSTLY AUTUMN: Things that we Notice / KAIPA: World of the Void.
Part 4: BLACK SABBATH: Lonely in the Word / IRON MAIDEN: The Wicker Man / THERION: Prometheus Entfesselt.
"Epic" Song:   QUEENSRYCHE: Suite Sister Mary.
I would like to thank all those who joined our show last night. We really enjoyed your company, and thank you for your love and support! We will "see" you online again on Sunday the 18th of October.
