After a long period of absence I am here again, continuing my blog.
The last post I wrote, was almost 3 weeks ago, and after that I left for my summer holidays.
This year I spend my holidays in Turkey, and to be more specific in the town named Didim.
The name Didim comes from the Greek name Didyma, which was the original name of the place.
Didim is now a very touristic place, with thousands of tourists going there for their vacations every year.
The biggest and most important sighteing of the place is the ancient temple of Apollon, which in the ancient times was the most famous oracle temple after the one in Delphi in Greece. This temple is a "must see" in my opinion, by every visitor of the place.
Further than that, the area offers many big and smaller beautiful beaches with nice sand, and clear sea. The
most famous beach of all is 'Altinkum', which means 'golden sand', but during August is packed!
The town of Didim is a mostly touristic town, offering a huge number of hotels, restaurants, bars/clubs, and everything a tourist might need in his holidays.
So, after spending almost 2 weeks there, I am back to continue with my everyday life, including my job, my radio program and this blog of course.
I hope that all of you enjoyed your summer holidays, and you are now ready for Autumn which officialy starts in a few days, and the Winter that will follow...
Thank you! :-)
