The Last PROG & ROLL of the season. (26/7/2015). A small review & the full playlist...

Hello everybody!
As it was announced, last night we had the last Prog & Roll radio show for this season. Starting from today we are in holidays (only from the radio show unfortunatelly), and we will return after almost 1.5 month, in the middle of September.
During last night's show we had many people listening and chating through the chatbox, and many of them were musicians. (Band members or solo artists). So, as a 'thank you' for their support, we played at least one song from each one of them, or from their bands. And because there were people coming and going all the time, we had to play their songs at the time they were online and listening. That's why the playlist is kind of mixed up. We also did 3-4 small but fun music contests, and we gave as prizes 5 cd's by Drifting Sun, and 1 by Archonaut. Here I would like to thank Pat Sanders from Drifitng Sun, and the guys from Archonaut (Jens & Sebastian) for their gentle offer.
The whole show lasted for 2.5 hours, and I believe everybody enjoyed it. (It seemed so at least).
Here you can take a look at the whole playlist:

1st Part: Intro / QUEEN: Let me Entertain You / KANSAS: Child of Innocence / MIKE OLDFIELD: Shadow on the Wall / ARENA: Enemy Without / ARCHONAUT: Ark.
2nd Part: THE ROLLING STONES: Ruby Tuesday / THE BEATLES: For no One / DAVID BOWIE: Life on Mars? / DRIFTING SUN: Silent in Shame / MIKE KERSAW: Farewell / FUSION ORCHESTRA 2: Rapunzel.
3rd Part: BLACK SABBATH: After Forever / LED ZEPPELIN: The Rover / PORCUPINE TREE: Blackest Eyes / MOTHER TURTLE: Bridge / FLORIAN DECROS: The Woman City.
4th Part: PINK FLOYD: Julia Dream / GENESIS: Anyway / BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST: Medicine Man (Live) / DRIFTING SUN: The Wizard.
5th Part: URIAH HEEP: Sunrise / THIN LIZZY: Emerald / RAINBOW: Gates of Babylon.
'Epic' Song: RUSH: Xanadu.
Here I would like to say a very big 'Thank you' to all those who are listening, supporting and advertising our show in these last 3 years. We are really honored to have such a wonderful audience!
Thank you all, and have a great summer!
We'll 'see you' again online after almost 6 weeks.
'till then... Take Care! :-)

The last Prog & Roll of the season...

I'm writing this in order to inform you that on this Sunday (26/7) Prog & Roll radio show will be online for the last time before our summer break. That's why, we will try to make a really great show for all our listeners. As far as I know there will be many musicians gathered on the chatbox, and I believe it will be lots of fun chatting with all these people while listening to music. On our behalf, we are preparing a very interesting - I believe - playlist, on which we will play music from many different music genres, such as: Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Hard Rock, Neo Prog, etc. We will also going to add 1 song from each band/artist that will appear on the chatbox during the show. You know, as a "thank you" for supporting us.
Further than that, most probably the show will last 2.5 hours instead of 2, because I'm sure that many of our listeners will want more, as it usually happens.
After this show we will have an almost 1.5 month break, and our show will be online again in the middle of September.
So, in case you are interested, I should inform you that Prog & Roll will be online this Sunday at 20.00 UK time (21.00 Italy, 22.00 Greece/Turkey). It is a live show, and the broadcasting is in English (mostly), and Greek. You can listen to our show by clicking on this link: www.justincaseradio.com
We will be very glad to "see" you there once more.
Thank you! :-)

ROGER WATERS: 'The Wall' - The Movie...

'The Wall Live' was a worldwide concert tour by Roger Waters, formerly member of Pink Floyd.
According to Cole Moreton of the Daily Mail, "The touring version of Pink Floyd's The Wall is one of the most ambitious and complex rock shows ever staged." It is estimated that the tour cost £37 million ($60M) to stage. As of 2013, the tour holds the new record for being the highest grossing tour for a solo musician, surpassing the previous record holder, Madonna.
The tour opened on 15th of September 2010 in Toronto, and moved through North America before ending the first leg of the tour in Mexico City, 21st of December 2010. The European tour began 21st of March 2011 in Lisbon, Portugal, and ended 12th of July 2011 in Athens, Greece. In 2012, the tour included Australia, New Zealand, and South America, resuming 27 January in Perth, and ending 1 April 2012 in São Paulo.
Now, almost 2 years after the end of the tour, it's time for the movie.

Co-directed by Roger Waters and Sean Evans, the new film — titled simply ‘Roger Waters The Wall’ — is scheduled to make its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 6, with repeat screenings planned for Sept. 7 and 14.

The much anticipated release is 133 minutes long and will receive 5 screenings at the festival, with two reserved for industry professionals only.
As for us, the ordinary people, I heard that the movie will have a worldwide premiere on the 29th of September, on selected theaters around the world. In case you don't have any of these "selected theaters" near you, you should know that very soon a DVD/Blue Ray version will be available.
Speaking for myself, there is no way I'll miss that. I was lucky enough to see 'The Wall live' twice, and I surely know what to expect.
As for those who wasn't able to see it live, you can have a small idea in the following trailers:
The Wall live: Trailer No.1 (7 minutes)
The Wall live: Trailer No.2 (1.40)
