Game of Thrones (The third season)

Only a few days left for the long awaited third season of the epic series 'Game of Thrones' to start.
One of the most expensive productions, with the thousands of fans all over the world, is entering the 3rd and most important season. Those who have read the the books know exactly what I'm talking about... :)
From the first season of these series, I was waiting for this moment. The time that the series will enter the third book! (Each season is dealing with each one of the books of George R.R Martin). And as I wrote before, after the first two books (2 seasons so far), now is the time for the third and most important one!
And I seriously can't wait!
The production company (HBO) released a couple of trailers so far, and I'm posting one of them here for you to watch.
12 days remaining folks!
31/3/2013  'The winter is coming'! And this time it is closer than ever! :)

  1. I really enjoyed the first season of this show, but for me the second was a bitter disappointment, and I do not say that lightly, cause as you know it is recorded but a stone-throw away from me.

Anyways, I hope that they will do a better job of season 3....to cram what I hear is a big and very important book into 10 short episodes will take a lot of doing, perhaps more so than trying to make a short book into 3 epic movies!!

Winter is indeed coming, so best wrap up warm :)

    I miss Sean Bean :(

  2. I was waiting for these new seaosons too cause book 3 is imho the best of all atm . I hope the new book will be good too cause part 5 "dance with dragons" was a big dissapointment.

Btw the re is a new series that its interesting there are 3 episodes atm if i am correct n i really liked it so far . It's called "Vikings" . I dont think that explanations about what the series is about are needed :)

  3. hehehe no you don't need to explain about the theme of 'Vikings' series. I had no idea about that. I will try to find these episodes to take a look.
As for Game of Thrones I'm really curious to see how they will fit all those things that are happening in book 3 in just 10 episodes. The only thing I read is that in this 3rd season all the episodes will be a bit longer. 4-5 minutes more each one.

  4. season 3 n season 4 will be both based on book 3 cause book3 are actually 2 parts so season 3a (this that will startin few days) will be Book3 part1 (storm of swords a)steel and snow) n next year season 3b will be Book3 part2 (storm of swords b)blood and gold)
and thats very promising cause they gonna have more tv time for specific amazing chapters of the book

  5. I also heard something like that sometime ago, but I wasn't so sure...
These are great news indeed! Because book 3 is the best of all, and the most important...

  6. I had a post here before but for whatever reason it seems to have vanished :P

Anyways, I can confirm that season 3 will in fact be mostly based on part 1 of book 3, and season 4 based on the rest. I say mostly cause there will be a certain amount of crossover between parts, most likely in order to help translate the story from book to TV.

To say winter is coming is an understatement for me at the minute as we are going through the worst storm I have ever seen right now...it is like a winter version of a tropical storm :P

  7. Further to my previous piece of information, it is reported today that plans for a GoT movie have been axed due to lack of funds damaging the $4 billion legacy....hadn't realised they had planned a movie (based on what comes to mind :P) but I will keep you informed if I hear anything else.

  8. I had no idea that they had plans for a movie. But what is the point? After the seasons that are very detailed and close to the story of the books, why to make a movie? I mean it makes no sense...
