Hello everybody!
Last night we had one more Prog & Roll radio show as usual, and here I am today writing down a few things about it. It was a nice show I believe judging from the people's reactions. During the first part we played songs from some very famous musicians, but this time we focused on their solo careers. During the second part we included a song recorded by 'Salander' which is a very special one for us. The reason? Because they recorded this song specialy for us & our dog named 'Bailey' who died almost 2 weeks ago. It was a very kind and thoughtful thing to do, and I want to thank them a lot for that!
At the start of the 3rd part we had a music contest once more, and at the 4rth part we played a song from the new Pink Floyd's album 'Endless River', (one day before the original release). We also included a live version of the song 'Berlin' by Barclay James Harvest, because yesterday was the 25th anniversary of Berlin Wall's demolition. And as usual, we concluded the show with the 'epic' song, which was the wonderful 'The turn of a friendly card' by The Alan Parsons Project.
I'm glad to say that slowly but steady our audience is growing, and we now have listeners from more countries, and that is something that makes us really happy. For example, last night we had peole listening from Greece, England, Ireland, Italy and Finland. (And I'm refering only to those who were chating with us, I don't know who else was listening and from where).
As for the songs we played, you can see the whole playlist here:
Part 1: ROBIN TROWER: Man of the World / FRANK ZAPPA: Dirty Love / LOU REED: Vicious / DAVID BOWIE: Watch that Man / ERIC CLAPTON: After Midnight / ROD STEWART: Reason to Believe.
Part 2: P.A.W.N: The Princess is out Tonight / HAGGARD: Lost (Robin’s Song) / SALANDER: For Bailey / GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT: In the Distance Fading / CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX: Rise up & Fight.
Part 3: SIMON & GARFUNKEL: America (Music contest) / P.A.W.N: Vessels / THERION: Liusalfheim / TRANSATLANTIC: Black as the Sky.
Part 4: PFM: Celebration / BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST: Berlin (Live) / PINK FLOYD: Talkin’ Hawkin’ / THE ALAN PARSON’S PROJECT: The Turn of a Friendly Card.
I want to say a very big thanks to all of you who joined last night and listened, and especially to Dave & Dave from 'Salander' for the beautiful song they recorded for us. It was a very touchy moment. Thank you guys!
