I’m writing this piece to inform you about
this Sunday’s special Prog & Roll radio show. We wanted to do something
special this time, so we decided to dedicate the whole show in the presentation
of this really unique CD collection released in 3 parts, by Musea Records.
The
compilation 'Decameron – Ten Days in 100 Novellas', is based on the legendary
Medieval book written by the famous Italian writer and poet Giovanni Boccaccio between 1349 and 1352.
As I
wrote before, there are 3 parts of this huge CD collection, and each of those
parts includes 4 CD’s. The first part was released in 2011, the second one in
2014, and the third –and last one – last year.
As
you can understand, it is impossible to play all the songs – not even the half –
that are included there, so what we tried to do is to play some of the most
characteristic and good songs that can be found in each one of those 3
compilations.
For
that reason, Sunday’s show is going to be a different one on every level. First
of all, it is going to be divided into three uneven parts instead of the usual
four. During each of these three parts, we will play songs from each volume of
the compilations. So, during the first part you will listen songs from volume 1,
on the second part of volume 2 and on the third
and final part, from volume 3.
Furthermore,
for the needs of this presentation, Prog & Roll is going to last longer
this time; my estimation is half hour more. So, that means two and a half
hours in total.
We
worked really hard for almost 2 weeks for this show, and I do believe that it
is going to be a really interesting and unique show to listen to.
So,
the only think you have to do, is to tune in this Sunday evening (15/1/2017), and
enjoy a really different radio show.
I
want to remind you that Prog & Roll is a bilingual live broadcast, and it
begins at 20.00 UK time. (21.00 Italy, Holland, Germany, Sweden / 22.00 Greece,
Turkey, Israel).
In
order to listen, just click on the following link at the day and time I
mentioned above
I hope to "see" some of you in our chatbox.
Thank you! 😎
