Prog & Roll Radio show (17/4/2016). The complete playlist.

Good morning all! :-)
Last night one more Prog & Roll radio show was on air as usual.
This time we divided our show into 2 major parts, the Non-Prog and the Prog one. Each of these 2 parts was divided into 2 half hours parts as well.
We had many people listening once more, and some of them were participating in the chatbox as well.
As for the music, I think it was very nice but kind of cool and relaxing. We didn't include any powerful and "noisy" songs this time.

GFreedom's Juke Box No.161

Hello all! :-)
One more fine Saturday morning is here, so it is time to write down my weekly Top-5 songlist for you.
During the week I listened to lots of music from many different music styles, as you'll realise by looking at my list. This time my list really mixed up, but I don't think that's a problem.
So, for this week, these are the 5 songs I've chosen as my best ones:
PURESSENCE: India (Puressence - 1996)
TARNATION: Your Thoughts & Mine (Mirador - 1997)
MOTORHEAD: The Chace is Better Than the Catch (Ace of Spades - 1980)
THE WALKABOUTS: Gather Round (See Beautiful Rattlesnake Gardens - 1998)
CAMEL: Lady Fantasy (Mirage - 1974)
I will add here the YT links for the songs in my list, so you can listen to them right away if you are interested. The only song I couldn't find in YT is 'Gather Round' by The Walkabouts.
PURESSENCE: India
TARNATION: Your Thoughts and Mine
MOTORHEAD: The chase is better than the catch
CAMEL: Lady Fantasy
Enjoy the music and thanks for visiting. :-)
Have a great weekend!

Sivert Høyem (Ex-Madrugada) live in Greece.

I’m writing this post in order to inform those who might be interested, that the charismatic ex-singer of the Norwegian band Madrugada will visit Greece for a few concerts.
After the band split up in 2007, he followed a solo career. His discography as a solo artist consists of 5 studio albums so far, with ‘Lioness’ being his brand new one.
Sivert Høyem will perform live in 4 cities in Greece in the following dates:
 21/6:Thessaloniki
22/6: Volos
23 & 24/6: Athens
25/6: Heraklio – Crete.
He was suppose to give only one concert in Athens on the 23rd,  but it became sold out very fast, so one more was added on the next day.
The tickets cost 22€, which is a fair price in my opinion.
I have seen Madrugada live 4 or 5 times and  Sivert Høyem once, but I always had great time! That’s why I’ll go and see him once more on the 23rd of April.
I did a small research, and found some setlists from his concerts. The most recent is this one:
17/3: Brussels Belgium: Lioness, Black & Gold, Empty House, Lost at Sea, What’s on your Mind? (Madrugada), Where in my Moon, Honey Bee (Madrugada), Prisoner of the Road, Into the Sea, V-O-I-D, The Boss Bossa Nova, Gorlitzer Park, Give it a Whirl, Majesty (Madrugada), Sleepwalking Man.
Encore: Electric (Madrugada), The Kids are on High Street (Madrugada), Moon Landing.
If you are living in Athens or you are just visitors, here’s a concert you shouldn’t miss!
By clicking on the following link you can see a live performance of the song 'Sleepwalking Man'.

Hello everybody and have a nice week. :)
Last night one more Prog & Roll radio show was online as usual, so here I am today to write down the complete playlist for you.
Although last night's show was a good one I can't say I'm very pleased to be honest. Maybe because I was very tired, maybe because I wasn't so confident about the songs we chose to play, I don't know for sure. The people seemed to enjoy it in most ocassions, but as I said I was very tired, so I counldn't enjoy it like other times.
We divided the 2-hour show in 4 half hour parts once more, and on every part we had a different style of music as you'll realise if you check the songs we played.
Here is the complete playlist from last night:

1st Part: JUDAS PRIEST: Jawbreaker / IRON MAIDEN: Flash of the Blade / DIAMOND HEAD: Am I Evil? / WARLORD: Lucifer’s Hammer / HEIR APPARENT: Tear Down the Walls.
2nd Part: AUTUMN MOONLIGHT: The Sky Over Your Shoulders / PORCUPINE TREE: The Moon Touches your Shoulder / IAMTHEMORNING: Too Many Years / BAROCK PROJECT: A Winter’s night / MOSTLY AUTUMN: Things That We Notice.
3rd Part: VAN MORRISON: Bring it on Home to Me – Live (Music Quiz) / COLOSSEUM: Buttys Blues / CHICAGO: In the Country / KEEF HARTLEY BAND: Me and My Woman.
4th Part: FOCUS: Focus III / PINK FLOYD: Echoes.
I would like to say a big 'thank you' to all those who tuned in and spent their Sunday afternoon with us once more. We are so honored and happy to have such a devoted and wonderful audience. Thank you all very much! :-)
